Jeff Demers has written numerous articles and book reviews. His first book D-Day: A New History is under contract for 2009. Recently, he co-edited a volume Presidential Power in America: the Constitution, the Defense of a Nation and the National Ethos (Doukathsan Press). Research interests include: the campaign across Northwest Europe, 1944-45, France in the Second World War, among others. He can be reached at demers@mslaw.edu. Ross Mahoney. I am a Lecturer at Penwith College in Penzance, England where I teach 16 – 18 years’ olds History and Politics. I am currently reading for my MPhil in Modern History at the Centre for Second World War Studies at the University of Birmingham under the supervision of Professor Gary Sheffield. The thesis will examine the effectiveness of Royal Air Force operations during Operation JUBILEE, the raid on Dieppe, with the doctrinal context of Combined Operations. My research interests include Air Power, British Military History of the 19th and 20th Centuries, Military Thought and the Development of Military Technology. Apart from contributing to this blog I also run one of my own, Thoughts on Military History.
